Welcome to A Sprinkle of Hope
We are a youth-led, community-based organization registered in 2017, operating in Bungoma County, Kenya. Our focus is to empower vulnerable communities for a just and inclusive future—trailblazing sustainable impact through grassroots actions.
Our Focal Points
- Economic Empowerment for the Out-of-school Youth & Children
- Combat Triple Threat: GBV, Teenage Pregnancies, and New HIV Infections
- Stop Deteriorating Climate Change
- Empowerment of the Elderly and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs)
Our Story
Restoring Dignity, One Life at a Time – A Sprinkle of Hope
In rural Bungoma County, extreme poverty and harsh climatic changes have caused many youth and children to drop out of school; higher teen pregnancies and new HIV infections; GBV has become a norm in most families, with single elderly and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) facing excruciating starvation, isolation, and riveting poverty. We couldn’t just stand by and watch.
Founded in 2015 and officially registered in 2017, A Sprinkle of Hope is transforming lives and changing the grain. Through partnerships, collaborations, and innovation, we are keeping children in school, teaching financial and social education for economic empowerment, reducing teen pregnancies, going green, and feeding the elderly and PWD in our communities.
The future is gradually opening up for all, thanks to our partners.

Abel Khisa
Founder & Visionary Leader
“No one should be left behind.”
These are the words that drove Abel Khisa to create A Sprinkle of Hope, a safe space and a springboard for thousands across Bungoma County.
Growing up amidst economic hardship and social inequality, Abel understood firsthand the struggles facing youth—especially young girls. Instead of watching from the sidelines, he took a bold step—turning compassion into action.
Today, Abel leads the organization with relentless passion, working hand-in-hand with partners, volunteers, schools, and local leaders to bring about real, lasting change.
“We are a movement of change, and with the right attitude, as a people, we shall overcome all the barriers.”
